Cantilever Sliding Gate System
CAIMEN Cantilever Sliding Gate Systems are custom engineered for industrial, commercial, and residential entrances. The trackless cantilever design eliminates the need for a ground rail across the driveway, making it ideal for wide openings, high-traffic entrances, and sites where ground tracks are difficult to install or maintain.
Built with structural aluminum and integrated automation, each system can be customized to suit the required opening size, gate design, safety devices, and access control requirements.
Key Features of Our Cantilever Sliding Gate System
1. Heavy-Duty Aluminum Structure
-
6005-T6 & 6063-T5 Aluminum: Structural aluminum profiles are selected according to their function within the gate system, providing the strength and rigidity required for large automated gates.
- High Strength with Lower Weight: Compared with traditional steel construction, aluminum helps reduce overall gate weight and drive-system load while providing excellent corrosion resistance for outdoor applications.
2. Trackless Cantilever Sliding System
-
No Ground Track Required: The gate is supported by a cantilever carriage system and travels above the driveway, eliminating the need for a continuous ground rail across the entrance.
-
Reduced Ground Maintenance: Without a running track across the driveway, the entrance is less affected by dirt, gravel, leaves, snow, and other debris that can interfere with conventional tracked sliding gates.
- Suitable for Challenging Entrances: A practical solution for wide openings, uneven driveway surfaces, drainage areas, and high-traffic vehicle entrances.
3. North American Architectural Grade Coating
- Standard – AkzoNobel Interpon D1000: CAIMEN uses Interpon D1000 architectural powder coating as the standard finish, providing durable color and weather resistance for exterior aluminum applications. It meets AAMA 2603 and Qualicoat Class 1 requirements.
- Optional Upgrade – Interpon D2000: For projects requiring higher weathering durability, Interpon D2000 superdurable powder coating is available as an upgrade, meeting AAMA 2604 and Qualicoat Class 2 requirements.
- Custom Colors & Finishes: A wide range of RAL colors and architectural finishes can be selected to match different project and building designs.
4. Low Maintenance & Easy Installation
- Corrosion-Resistant Aluminum Construction: Aluminum does not rust like conventional steel and offers excellent corrosion resistance, helping reduce repainting and routine maintenance requirements for outdoor gate installations.
- Modular Bolt-Together Design: Prefabricated mechanical connections support straightforward field assembly, adjustment, and component replacement while reducing the need for extensive on-site welding.

Heavy-Duty 6005-T6 Aluminum Cantilever Beam
- Four Beam Profiles for Different Gate Sizes: CAIMEN offers four 6005-T6 aluminum cantilever beam profiles with different section sizes and wall thicknesses. The suitable beam is selected according to gate length, height, infill design, and structural load.
- Engineered for Load & Stability: The reinforced aluminum sections provide the rigidity and load support required for suspended cantilever gate operation while maintaining a relatively lightweight structure.
Heavy-Duty Cantilever Carriage & Structural Hardware
- 12-Wheel Multi-Directional Carriage: Top, bottom, and side rollers support the cantilever beam from multiple directions, helping control vertical load and lateral movement for smooth, stable gate travel.
- Precision Bearing & Roller System: Heavy-duty rollers and bearings reduce rolling resistance and support consistent movement during repeated opening and closing cycles.
- Stainless Steel Pull-Rod Bracket: Reinforces the gate structure and helps maintain alignment across longer gate spans.
- Heavy-Duty Cast Steel Pull-Rod System: Provides additional structural support for large gates and helps control deformation under load.
- Serviceable Mechanical Components: Major carriage, roller, and reinforcement components can be adjusted or replaced individually, simplifying installation and future maintenance.
Safety Protection for Automatic Cantilever Gates
Multiple safety devices work together to detect obstacles and reduce collision and pinch-point risks during automatic gate operation.

1. Infrared Beam Obstacle Detection
Photoelectric sensors installed on the gate posts monitor the entrance during operation. If a vehicle, pedestrian, or object interrupts the infrared beam while the gate is closing, the control system can stop and reverse the gate to reduce collision risk.
2. Pressure-Sensitive Safety Edge
A contact-sensitive safety edge installed along the gate’s leading edge detects physical obstruction. When activated, the system can stop or reverse gate movement to help reduce crushing and entrapment risks.

3. Mechanical Anti-Pinch Protection
4. Overhead Sensor & Visual Warning Light
An additional overhead sensor monitors the gate area, while the integrated warning light provides a visible operating signal to pedestrians, drivers, and site personnel.
5. Emergency Stop & Manual Release
An accessible emergency stop allows operators to immediately stop gate operation when required. During a power failure or maintenance, the manual release mechanism allows the gate to be disengaged for manual operation.
Automation & Access Control for Cantilever Sliding Gates
CAIMEN cantilever gates can be integrated with automated drive, safety, and access control systems for residential, commercial, and industrial entrances.

1. Heavy-Duty Motor & Adjustable Gate Speed
500W Drive Motor: Designed for reliable automatic gate operation, with a reference travel speed of 18–22 m/min depending on gate size and system configuration.
Global Power Options: Available for 110V / 220V AC, 50/60Hz power requirements.
2. VFD Soft Start & Soft Stop
Variable Frequency Drive (VFD): Controlled acceleration and deceleration provide smoother gate movement and help reduce mechanical shock on the motor, transmission, and gate structure.
3. Access Control Integration
- Smart Access Ready: Remote control and multiple access methods can be configured according to project requirements.
- Dry Contact Interface: Supports integration with LPR, RFID, biometric readers, keypads, and third-party access control systems.
4. Motor Protection & Emergency Manual Release
Motor Protection: Integrated overload and thermal protection help protect the drive system during abnormal operating conditions.
Manual Release: During power failure or maintenance, the clutch mechanism allows the drive to be disengaged for manual gate operation.
Mechanical Self-Locking: The drive system helps hold the gate in position when operation stops.
Wide Operating Temperature Range: Designed for outdoor operation across a wide temperature range of -35°C to +70°C, subject to the selected motor and project configuration.
